Natural Resource Scientist – Developer: The primary responsibility of this position is to develop, implement, and maintain scientific and business applications that support various aspects of the agency mission.
Water Resource Engineer II: The individual in this position will provide support to the agency as a member of the Investigations Section. It is expected that this position will have an educational background in hydrologic and hydraulic fundamentals, ability to develop skills in hydrologic and hydraulic modeling, interest and initiative to learn about North Dakota’s water resources, and ability to effectively communicate.
Hydrogeologist II andHydrogeologist III: As a hydrogeologist with the North Dakota Department of Water Resources, you will have an impact on the sustainable management of groundwater resources, in an environment that provides many opportunities to learn using robust datasets and technology. The management of water rights requires an interdisciplinary approach of water policy, science, and data management.
Director of Public Policy: This position will carry out the directions of the DWR director. This position will review and develop policy/proceedures for the department; communicate and educate the public and stakeholders regarding water resources policy; work with local, state, and federal officials to track policy discussions and decisions so as to advise how those decisions may impact the state of North Dakota; and collaborate with various governmental officials regarding the drafting of policy, testimony, and proceedures associated with DWR.
