The latest newsletter touts the publication of the Western Governors’ Association and WSWC’s join project report, titled, “Water Transfers in the West: Projects, Trends, and Leading Practices in Voluntary Water Trading,” carried out with funding assistance from the Walton Family Foundation. It also provides an update on the clarification issued from the EPA on logging road discharges, and a letter from several water groups to congress on a provision of the draft Water Resources Development Act (WRDA) bill concerning levee safety guidelines. A review of the Tarrant v. Herrmann lawsuit between a Texas water district and the Oklahoma Water Resources Board is also discussed.
