Water Information Management Systems (WIMS) Workshops
About WIMS
The Water Information Management Systems (WIMS) Workshops bring together IT and water resources staff from our member agencies to collaborate and share information on water data trends and innovations. WIMS workshops are often organized in collaboration with other groups such as NASA, USGS, and the Internet of Water Organization. The intent is to discover the needs of WSWC members and their highest priorities regarding water data acquisition, quality control, and publication.
WIMS Goals
- Increase dialogue between not only member state appointees, but among their IT and program staff also.
- Present on and discuss federal data initiatives and how member states can benefit from it.
- Engage staff from state and federal agencies with the Water Data Exchange (WaDE) program and its data system.
