On March 31, 2026, the Western States Water Council signed onto a letter of support to urge continued bipartisan support for the U.S. Geological Survey’s (USGS) work with the OpenET Consortium and to request $5 million of funding within the USGS Water Availability and Use Science Program for this public-private partnership.
