On July 13, the Interstate Council on Water Policy and the Western States Water Council sent a letter to members of the Interagency Committee on Water Management and Infrastructure (Water Policy Committee) thanking them for their participation in the ICWP-WSWC Joint Washington DC Roundtable.
Further, the letter also urges increased federal coordination on water management, emphasizing data modernization, infrastructure resilience, and staffing challenges. Additionally, it requested ongoing engagement with the Water Policy Committee – including participation, observation, and input from state and interstate water managers – to address cross-agency challenges, prioritize projects, and improve planning, funding, and technical support.
