The New Drought.Gov: Advancing Drought Resilience Through Innovation and Collaboration

In January 2021, NOAA’s National Integrated Drought Information System (NIDIS) partnered with the National Centers for Environmental Information to launch a redesigned U.S. Drought Portal (Drought.gov): a one-stop shop for drought data and decision-support products. Drought.gov builds on partnerships across government, academia, and the private sector to provide decision makers with key drought resources, including economic impact data and drought conditions down to the city and county levels. NIDIS will give a live demonstration of the new Drought.gov, followed by a Q&A session.

Presenter: Kelsey Satalino, Digital Communications Coordinator for NOAA’s National Integrated Drought Information System (NIDIS); Cooperative Institute for Research in Environmental Sciences (CIRES)
