Supporting Drought Resilience Through State Planning

Drought impacts multiple sectors of society, so drought mitigation needs multiple state and federal agencies to coordinate a response. While significant federal funding is currently available, these funding sources require planning documents at the state level. These State and local planning documents are often siloed, and states, tribes, and local communities may not know which source(s) of funding will meet their specific needs. Watch this webinar to learn from the state of Nevada, where collaboration among multiple state and federal agencies is underway to more comprehensively address and mitigate against drought.

Presenters: Bunny Bishop, Nevada Division of Water Resources; Jason Cooper, Nevada Department of Environmental Protection; Janell Woodward, Nevada Division of Emergency Management; Roger Gorke, US Environmental Protection Agency; John Powderly, US Federal Emergency Management Agency
