This event is one in a series of webinars exploring stream restoration and water rights. Stream restoration projects aim to slow the flow of water, increase floodplain aquifer recharge, and restore natural processes to maintain healthy aquatic ecosystems. However, there remains uncertainty around the effects of these projects on downstream water availability. This webinar focused on the hydrology of valley floor restoration. It highlighted the reasons for implementing these projects, the methods commonly used, and the processes that generate desired outcomes. The webinar also integrated field and modeling studies, discussed the outcomes related to each restored process, and the factors influencing uncertainty.
