WSWC Comments Re: Revision of Regulations for Grazing Administration, Exclusive of Alaska

On July 13, the Western States Water Council (WSWC) submitted formal comments on the Bureau of Land Management’s (BLM) proposed rule, Revision of Regulations for Grazing Administration, Exclusive of Alaska.

The comments focus on two primary areas:
    – Water Quality and Cooperative Federalism
    – Water Rights and Jurisdiction

Additionally, the WSWC urges the BLM to engage directly with state water administrators to understand state-specific laws and to adopt flexible rule language that encourages collaborative, state-specific agreements, such as Memoranda of Understanding.
