New Proposed Positions
The Water Quality Committee proposed a new policy position on ___.
Consolidated Positions
During our 2025 meetings, as part of our strategic directions exercise, several members noted that a number of our policy positions contain overlapping information and might be consolidated to reduce the number of sunsetting positions the Council needs to review each meeting. Additionally, members expressed interest in revising the structure of the positions, eliminating the awkward phrasing of the Whereas and Resolved clauses, and more directly addressing the “bottom line up front.” Council staff have worked to accomplish these directives while retaining the state-approved language of the former positions as a starting point. The members may wish to further reduce the length of the positions. These positions might also serve as a basis for shorter one-page documents to share with Congress and federal agencies.
